When two aspiring singer-songwriters are torn apart by differing ambitions, fate reunites them years later, forcing them to confront the choices that defined their lives.
Story
In the summer of 1969, Caroline "Carrie" Jacobs, a talented 18-year-old singer-songwriter from Woodstock, England, embarks on a journey to New York with her childhood friend and boyfriend, Willy. Their dream is to attend the iconic Woodstock Music Festival, and perhaps even perform on its legendary stage.
However, as they navigate the vibrant streets of 1960s New York, their aspirations diverge. Willy is determined to pursue a career in music, while Carrie feels the pressure to return to England, attend college, and secure a "proper" job.
Torn between their love for each other and their individual ambitions, they make the difficult decision to part ways. The fork in the road sets them on distinct paths, shaping their futures in ways they never could have imagined.
Years later, Carrie and Willy are reunited, and the past comes flooding back. As they reconnect, they must confront the choices that defined their lives and the music that once brought them together.

About the Writer
Ian Cox is a versatile scriptwriter and performer with deep roots in the arts. His creative journey spans the stage and the page, having played character roles in works by Shakespeare, Brecht, Auden, and Tennessee Williams, among others.
Beyond traditional theatre, Ian has brought his wit and presence to stand-up comedy, talent shows as an M C, and lively quiz nights as a quizmaster.
He wrote and performed in the satirical panto, A Winter’s Tale by Bill Brakespear and recently took to the stage at the Oxford Burton Taylor Studio Theatre with his original play, An Innocuous Prick.
A student of the Raindance Film School, Ian wrote the screenplay Playing Woodstock, then together with audio and music producer Adrienne Aiken, adapted it into a radio/audio play. An episodic podcast version is now in the works.
Outside the arts, Ian is also active in sustainable residential development and urban regeneration, bringing creativity and conscience to community-building.
